The Department of Management and Marketing in the Edwards School of Business invites applications for a Sessional Lecturer to teach the following course at the Prince Albert Campus during the following session: 2026-2027 Regular Session – Term 2 (Winter Session) Course Number, Section, and Name: COMM 247.3 (10) – Introduction to Indigenous Business in Canada Course Description: This course examines the historic, legal, political, cultural, social, and economic contexts that shape Indigenous business in Canada. Grounded in the principles of Reconciliation, the course emphasizes economic reconciliation, respectful relations, and inclusive business practices. Students will explore the diverse ways Indigenous Peoples and communities pursue business and economic development that aligns with and advances their values, rights, and ways of knowing. Students will critically consider the role of businesses and institutions in advancing equity, supporting Indigenous sovereignty, and contributing to being more inclusive economy. Term and Course Dates: Term 2 (January - April) CRN: 32939 Delivery Mode: This course will be offered as a Lecture Course Schedule: Wednesdays; 9:00 am to 11:50 am Expected Enrollment Limit: 15 Location: Prince Albert, SK Qualifications: Consistent with its goal of maintaining business school accreditation, Edwards School of Business will recruit individuals with the following qualifications: a graduate or professional degree, or professional certification, in a field relevant to the course relevant professional experience and ongoing professional engagement clearly linked to the field in which the candidate is expected to teach professional engagement activities must be substantive and sustained at levels that support currency and relevance for Edwards' mission previous teaching experience is an asset A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days in recognition of preparation and marking time required. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrolment.
