The Department of Finance and Management Science in the Edwards School of Business invites applications for Sessional Lecturers to teach the following courses at the Prince Albert Campus during the following sessions: 2026-2027 Regular Session – Term 1 (Fall Session) Course Number, Section, and Name: COMM 129.3 (09) – Personal Financial Management Course Description: Teaches students how to analyze personal goals and assess the financial implications of these goals, determine personal net worth, analyze financial products and services, and understand investment alternatives appropriate to individuals and families. In addition, this course explains personal taxation, insurance contracts to protect the lifestyles of families, financial alternatives in retirement, and estate planning. Term and Course Dates: Term 1 (September to December) CRN: 92371 Delivery Mode: Lecture Course Schedule: Tuesdays; 2:30 pm to 5:20 pm; Prince Albert Campus Expected Enrollment Limit: 15 Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan 2026-2027 Regular Session – Term 2 (Winter Session) Course Number, Section, and Name: COMM 104.3 (04) – Foundations of Business Statistics Course Description: Teaches descriptive statistics, data visualization, probability concepts, probability distributions, sampling distributions, and statistical inference - estimation and hypothesis testing. Spreadsheet-based statistical functions and/or computer programs will be used to demonstrate the concepts and theory and to analyze practical business situations. Term and Course Dates: Term 2 (January to April) CRN: 30777 Delivery Mode: Lecture Course Schedule: Fridays; 1:00 pm to 3:50 pm; Prince Albert Campus Expected Enrollment Limit: 60 Location: Prince Albert, Saskatchewan Qualifications: Consistent with its goal of achieving business school accreditation, Edwards will recruit those individuals with initial academic preparation (including a graduate degree), professional experience and ongoing professional engagement deemed sufficiently strong for granting the candidate Instructional Practitioner status. Professional experience must be current and substantial in terms of duration and level of responsibility and clearly linked to the field in which the candidate is expected to teach. Professional engagement activities must be substantive and sustained at levels that support currency and relevance for Edwards' mission. A valid driver’s license is required for any off-campus courses. Appointment periods include additional days in recognition of preparation and marking time required. Courses may be cancelled due to low enrolment.
