Job Description


 POSITION:
 Standby Driver (3 Positions Available)

 LOCATION:
 Transportation

 RATE OF PAY:
 $29.45 *per the 2025-2027 employment agreement

 HOURS PER DAY:
 7

 START & ENDING TIME:
 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM, (specific hours will be determined)

 WORKING DAYS PER YEAR:
 173

 PAID HOLIDAYS:
 6
 QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED:
  • Knowledge of bus and drivers safety.
  • Knowledge of district discipline policy.
  • Demonstrated bus driving skills.
  • Demonstrated strong verbal skills.
  • Ability to work well with students, district staff, and community.
  • Ability to drive safely despite noise, distractions, and interruptions while in traffic and within a time frame.
  • Ability to drive multiple routes with no notice, and the ability to make quick decisions.

 TESTING REQUIRED:
 All job offers from Eden Prairie Schools are conditioned upon passing a pre-employment criminal background check and ISD 272 School Board approval. Offers for these positions will also be conditioned upon passing a pre-employment physical abilities test.

 START DATE:
