Join our team at Herbert Hoover Elementary! Bettendorf Community School District is seeking a collaborative, student-centered Elementary Teacher Librarian/Media Specialist who is passionate about literacy, technology integration, and creating engaging learning experiences for all students. The ideal candidate will foster a welcoming library environment, support student inquiry and digital citizenship, and partner with staff to enhance instruction across content areas.
Terms of Employment: Contract
Salary:
$50,000+ (BA, Step 0; based on 2025�2026 salary schedule)
Qualifications:
- Must have or be able to obtain Iowa certification and K-8 or K-12 Teacher Librarian endorsement.
- Strong technology integration skill set preferred.
- Experience implementing PBIS preferred.
- Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States.
Knowledge, Skills, and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain an engaging, student-focused library/media program.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support curriculum and instructional goals.
- Promote literacy, research skills, digital citizenship, and technology integration.
- Maintain and organize library/media resources and technology tools.
- Support a positive and inclusive learning environment aligned with PBIS practices.
