Leave of Absence: Interventionist - K - 5th Grades

JOB OVERVIEW:
Provide instruction, assess, and encourage student progress, and manage the learning environment

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Demonstrate accurate, up-to-date knowledge of content and Illinois State Standards
2. Implement the assigned program of study to meet individual student needs
3. Foster a classroom climate conducive to learning and student success
4. Utilize instructional management systems that increase student learning and maximize time of task
5. Monitor student progress towards achieving instructional objectives and goals
6. Communicate effectively within the educational community and with parents on a regular basis
7. Meet professional responsibilities
8. Maintain and upgrade professional skills
9. Maintain professional work habits
10. Promote and maintain positive pupil-teacher-parent relationships
11. Collaborate with the building learning center needs regarding individual students in the school

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Letters of application
• Recommendations and/or references
• Ability to work as a team member and previous experience with elementary age children is preferred
• PEL or SUB license required

Salary: Long term substitute rate ($227.98/day) / no additional benefits
