Job Description- Caring Adult Skill Instructor- Entry Level PayScale
A Caring Adult Skill Instructor supports the Multi-tiered Support System (MTSS) process by evaluating students to learn more about the factors influencing their behavior and academic performance, suggesting/implementing evidence-based interventions and progress monitoring student success.
A CASI needs an understanding of school-culture, teaching strategies and social emotional learning practices are necessary to perform this job well.
CASI's collaborate with school counselors to support the comprehensive school counseling program and goals defined at each school and the Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 expectations of school counselors in the HCSD.
The ideal candidate will/is:
- Use knowledge and application of social and emotional learning competencies, learning targets, lesson components and the Hall County Schools' Learner Profile
- Use data to determine SEL Needs
- A team member of the overall culture of schools at Tier 1- contributes to Wellness Teams
- Use effective communication skills (crucial conversation skills) to build and maintain relationships with families, staff and students.
- Willing to be trained in DBT and de-escalation strategies and implement in small groups
- Collaborate and coordinate with other School Interventionists, school counselors, school social workers, Tier 3 team members, administrators, and other MTSS school team members
- Continuously committed to ongoing training in a wide area of student success strategies
- Maintain accurate and ongoing data collection and records
