Stage Technician

This is an ongoing recruitment. After an application is submitted, the Theater and Building Rentals Coordinator will contact applicants for interviews on an as-needed basis.

Hourly Rate: $22.00 per hour
Work Week: Less than 15 hours a week 
Benefits: There are no benefits associated with this position

Duties:

• Provide general technical and event supervision at theatre facilities within the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District.
• Assist with maintenance, upkeep, adaptation, and renovation of theatrical facilities.
• Assist users with interfacing with the facility and theatre equipment, ensuring safety guidelines are followed.

Qualifications:
 

• Must have experience with one or more of the following: rigging, lighting, scenic constructions, sound, multi-media, or other related areas
• Must be familiar with most technical aspects of theatrical productions
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds, be on feet for many hours, and be capable of working at heights over 40 feet.
• Reliable transportation and a current Alaska driver's license are required.
