Social Worker-Middle School

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work. Experience working with students and strong communication skills
• Fully approval as a school social worker or ability to gain temporary approval
• Knowledge in the use of assessment and assessment data to inform instruction and prescribed work plans for individuals
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, administration and community
• Ability to utilize technology
• Ability to respond to a crisis situation when appropriate

Deep sense of caring for children

Performance Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement IEP goals and services
• Develop and teach peer relations (conflict resolution)
• Maintain effective working relationships with students and staff
• Serve as a member of the educational planning and placement team
• Serves as a consultant for students with Emotional Impairment
• Provides other services as identified by the administration
