1:1 Paraeducator (Specialized)

This paraprofessional position requires working with a student with both hearing and visual impairment needs. The paraprofessional would need to support the student and would require learning Braille (training would be provided) and using technology to further support the student. This position would require intervening to provide one to one support to allow consistent access to information, communication, and social interactions with peers and teachers. The primary role would include helping the student to access environmental information, to build relationships, and to promote independence. In addition, the paraprofessional would work closely with the student's educational team.
