Job Summary
We’re looking for a dynamic Automotive Internet Sales Manager to lead and optimize our digital sales operations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing inbound internet leads, driving online-to-showroom conversions, and developing a high-performing team focused on delivering a seamless, modern customer experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all incoming internet leads (website, third-party platforms, social media, and chat) to ensure timely and effective follow-up.
- Recruit, hire, train, and oversee a high-performing internet sales team or BDC representatives.
- Develop and implement processes for handling digital inquiries, including email, phone, and text communication strategies.
- Work closely with the sales desk to structure deals and ensure smooth transition from online inquiry to showroom sale.
- Utilize CRM tools to track customer interactions, manage pipelines, and ensure consistent follow-up.
- Analyze lead sources and campaign performance to improve ROI and overall lead quality.
- Coordinate with marketing to optimize online presence, including inventory listings, pricing strategy, and promotions.
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by delivering a transparent, efficient, and customer-focused buying experience.
- Train and coach team members on best practices for digital communication, objection handling, and appointment setting.
- Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive sales with a strong focus on internet/BDC or digital lead management.
- Demonstrated success in handling high-volume internet leads and converting them into appointments and sales.
- Strong understanding of CRM systems, digital retailing tools, and online lead platforms (AutoTrader, Cars.com, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage customers digitally.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance metrics and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
