MAINTENANCE - GENERAL - ATHLETICS
Job Description
POSITION TITLE: General - Athletics, Pay Range $17.84 - $18.83 per hour.
RESPONSIBLE TO: Maintenance Supervisor
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Under general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and Athletic Director, the job function is to maintain athletic facilities and grounds; to set up equipment for athletics events, and to perform a variety of custodial duties in locker-rooms and restrooms. Assist Maintenance Department in other areas of the District as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Working Conditions
Ability to frequently stand, sit, reach, grasp, stoop, bend, push, pull, kneel, squat, and twist
Ability to repetitively twist, tolerate pressure involving wrists/hands, repetitively use hand, arm, and shoulder
Ability to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift more than 100 pounds with assistance
Ability work on high ladders and scaffolds
Indoor and outdoor work environment
Regular exposure to fumes, dust and odors
JOB DUTIES:
- Directly responsible for preparing all athletic fields and facilities
- Conduct regular maintenance of natural and synthetic playing surfaces
- Experience operating grooming equipment, mowers, paint striping machine, floor cleaners
- Knowledge of OHSAA field/facility dimensions
- Assist in set up of field and gymnasium equipment for athletic events
- Keep facilities clean and in working order at all times, including:
- Mowing/weed eating fields, mulching, trash pick-up, snow removal as needed/directed
- Provide custodial assistance in Ranger Athletic Complex and Ranger Stadium
- Cleaning locker rooms, restrooms, bleachers, press box, including: mopping, disinfecting, other general maintenance tasks
- Maintain all required equipment in optimum condition
- Maintain supply inventory as it relates to job duties
- Field paint/chalk
- Custodial/cleaning supplies
- Assist Maintenance Department in other areas as deemed necessary
Contract days � 248-249 plus thirteen (13) paid holidays
