Yard Laborer

Job Duties

• Duties include climbing, working in confined spaces, and some lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. Carrying up to50 lbs. may be performed while climbing stairs
• From a high location (10’-70’), pull-up tools, pullers, etc., with a rope and a bucket weighing 5-15 lbs
• To carry and use portable fire extinguishers weighing 50-55 lbs
• Capable of opening/closing large (10”) gate valves
• Capable of moving barrels of oil (300 lbs.) and setting on permanent and portable racks using appropriate handling tools
• Be able to open fire hydrants and connect fire hoses quickly
• Be able to work alone any time of the day in all types of weather
• Maintains clean and orderly working facility and job sites
• Rotating shifts may be required. Able to work a 16-hour shift, mostly on your feet. Maintenance and/or Operations experience within an industrial environment is desired, as positions may also assist craft people.
