Position Type/Title: Preschool Assistant
Location: Early Learning School
Hours Per Week: 30 - 40 hours
Schedule: Various schedules available between 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday - June 9, 2026 through August 14, 2026
Starting Wage: $17.52
We are seeking experienced, enthusiastic, and energetic Preschool Assistants to join our team!
Position Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the teacher in creating a positive learning environment and providing high-quality instruction and care to our preschoolers. This is a summer only position.

As a Preschool Assistant you will�
- Create a safe and nurturing learning environment
- Guide children in the development of language, motor, and social skills
- Execute age-appropriate, hands-on activities for 2-5 year old children
- Enforce policies and procedures set by the school
- Participate in professional development and other school-related activities
- Communicate daily with parents at drop off and pick up
- Foster an atmosphere of respect and positive reinforcement
We are looking for someone with the following qualifications�
- Has a passion for working with young children
- Ideal candidates will have experience working with young children from diverse backgrounds
- Has documentation of U.S. citizenship or eligibility to work in the U.S.
- Has the physical abilities to perform the required job duties with or without accommodation
- Able to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, staff and caregivers
- Must successfully meet our pre-employment background screening requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with the Pyramid Model and Classroom Engagement Model (preferred)
- Post-secondary education in child development, early childhood, or equivalent (preferred)
- At least one year successful experience working with preschool aged children in a childcare or education setting (preferred)
