High School Social Worker 

Locations: Wayzata High School
FTE: 1.0
Starting Fall 2026

Compensation Range: $52,308-$123,452 (Depending on Education and Experience)

Position Description:
Wayzata Public Schools is currently seeking a School Social Worker with the ability, skills, and training necessary to work with a broad array of students with and without disabilities in a high school setting.
 
Responsibilities include:

  • Consultation to special education and pre-referral intervention teams
  • Parent contact
  • Individual and small group support to students with social, emotional and behavioral issues
  • Crisis intervention and prevention 

Qualifications:

  • Social Work license from Board of Social Work and Board of Teaching required.
  • Master's Degree in School Social Work required.
  • LICSW Preferred.
  • Training and skill in working with diverse populations is desirable.
  • Experience and willingness to work on general education teams and provide collaborative special education services with general education teachers is required.
  • Interest in and ability to relate well to secondary school students with and without disabilities.
  • Experience working with youth with substance abuse and mental health concerns
