| JOB DESCRIPTION: |
Provide leadership to effectively organize, coordinate, plan, and direct the implementation of a comprehensive classroom instructional and behavioral program for students with behavior concerns. Model and provide support to school based personnel to ensure, improve, monitor and assist with students who demonstrate disruptive behavioral needs. Assist teachers in improving classroom management and climate through the implementation of effective instructional methods and effective behavioral strategies. Complete Functional Behavior Assessments as required. Develops Behavioral Intervention Plans based on the data collected from completed Functional Behavior Assessments. Assist and support teaching staff with data collection and monitoring for behavior interventions. In collaboration with staff, plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students. Maintain satisfactory attendance defined by system or local school handbook.Comply with conditions stated in the employment contract. Comply with the federal, state, and local board of education requirements for the development of educationally appropriate instruction. Assist administration in implementing all policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct and work cooperatively with all staff members in attaining school goals and objectives. Develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures and maintain order in the classroom in a fair and just manner. Attend staff, department, team, and/or grade level meetings and serve on staff committees as required. Participate as required in the appropriate state annual evaluation process. Perform such additional responsibilities as may be assigned by building administrators and/or system level administration. REQUIRED SKILLS:
REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION OR TRAINING: Minimum of bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and state required certification.
EXPERIENCE: Experience working with students with varying behavioral concerns. Minimum of 5 years teaching experiences prefered.
