Eastern Carver County Schools' Building and Grounds Department is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment for all students, staff and visitors. Our team provides daily support to maintain building systems and structures, service the grounds, provide custodial services, oversee construction and renovation projects, maintain compliance with building and fire codes, safety and environmental regulations, oversee security and fire alarm systems in all buildings.

Position Start Date: ASAP
Days/Hours: Monday - Friday; 5:30am - 2:00pm
Salary: $30.22/hr.
Responsible To: Custodial Supervisor/Head Custodian/District Maintenance Supervisor
Position Purpose: Performs general repairs to District buildings and grounds. Responsible for keeping equipment in good operating condition by performing preventive maintenance, machine tests, troubleshooting, removing technical issues, and performing emergency repairs. Assists the Grounds/Maintenance division as needed. Performs Custodial duties and will occasionally fill in for Head Custodian. You may be assigned to work at different buildings depending on the needs of the district.

Education/Certification Requirements:
- Possess First Class boilers license or equivalent
- Post-secondary education on electrical, plumbing or HVAC trades
Experience Requirements:
- 5 years or more of complex building maintenance experience
- Reads and interprets drawings and blue prints to help troubleshoot and diagnose building systems
- Ability to manipulate BAS systems
Compensation and Yearly Duration of Employment: This position is posted as a full-time (40 hrs/week), twelve (12) month position. In addition, the pay includes additional pay for each level of boilers license and other applicable license when licenses are obtained. Eligible for benefits as negotiated with Union Local 70 and District 112 plus enrollment in Minnesota's largest retirement pension! This position is eligible for overtime and comp time.
