Classroom Observation Request - Summer 2026

**College students and alternative certification candidates only**

Requests received prior to May 15th will receive a response by March 20th. Most Summer Learning Programs will begin June 1, 2026.

You must include a copy of your syllabus or assignment with the college or program name. Approximately three business days after submitting the form during the observation window, you will receive a letter via email verifying your clearance through a background check. If the background check reveals a felony arrest or other information that negates the clearance to observe, the GISD investigator will contact you to discuss the information. 

There will be a limited number of Summer Learning Programs that can allow classroom observation requests. A list of the programs and campus contacts will be included with the confirmation email. Once you receive the email, you are responsible for contacting the campus where you wish to observe to request permission. Please forward the confirmation email to the principals when you contact them, and then present it to the office upon arrival at each campus.
