MS eSPORTS Advisor

Job Summary: 

• This role leverages student passion to build a community centered team focused on digital citizenship, teamwork, and engagement.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Recruit team members and build strong rapport with students.
• Facilitate regular practice sessions focusing on strategy, communication, and hand-eye coordination.
• Mentor students on how to handle wins and losses with resilience and modeling district behavior expectations.
• Monitor online interactions to ensure a toxic-free environment. 
• Coordinate match times with opposing schools and leagues.
• Oversee the care and inventory of gaming hardware (PCs, consoles, peripherals).
• Work with the IT department and other district stakeholders to ensure network connectivity, software updates, and other team needs are maintained.
• Promote the program through school announcements and newsletters.

Education and Experience:

• Previous experience in coaching, teaching, or youth mentorship is highly preferred. 
• Other education/experience as accepted by the school board and administration
