REPORTS TO: Manager, Warehouse
DEPARTMENT/CAMPUS: Maintenance
PAY GRADE: MT3 ($15.81 minimum)
FLSA: Non-Exempt
JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for supporting the daily operations within the District's warehouse, including the issuance of parts and tools, maintaining inventory control, and ensuring the efficient handling and storage of supplies. This position requires precision, the ability to handle physical tasks, and adherence to safety standards.
KEY FUNCTIONS, ESSENTIAL DUTIES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse Support:
1. Issues parts and tools to personnel, as directed.
2. Records and tracks the receipt and issuance of parts, supplies, and tools in accordance with established recordkeeping protocols.
3. Assists in conducting inventory counts to ensure accuracy and availability of warehouse stock.
4. Works cooperatively with appropriate maintenance personnel to determine specifications, sources, availability, pricing, shipping, and receiving of parts, equipment, and supplies.
5. Unpacks shipments, and performs inspections of items to verify accuracy and quality of items received.
6. Assists in the completion of necessary paperwork for shipping and receiving activities, as directed, including, without limitation, delivery logs and inventory audits.
7. Ensures all documentation is filed correctly and accessible for future reference or audits, or as otherwise directed.
8. Records any discrepancies, or damages, found during the shipment inspection process in accordance with established recordkeeping protocols.
9. Assists in processing and labeling equipment for repairs, and performs minor repairs on equipment, as needed.
10. Commutes to other locations, as assigned, to retrieve specified equipment and parts.
11. Regularly checks the general condition of safety equipment and tools within the warehouse to ensure its safe operable condition, and ensures any issues or safety hazards are timely reported in accordance with established protocols.
12. Participates in safety meetings and training sessions to stay updated on the latest warehouse safety standards and related requirements.
13. Ensures efficient utilization of space within the warehouse by organizing supplies and equipment logically and in an accessible manner.
14. Participates, as directed, in process improvement initiatives, as assigned.
15. Participates in, and promotes, recycling and other sustainability initiatives within the warehouse operations.
16. Assists, as directed, in identifying opportunities for waste reduction, and the optimization of environmental outcomes in daily operations.
Compliance:
17. Performs all assigned work activities in accordance with standard procedures and protocols established by the department and District, and in accordance with applicable standards, procedures, protocols, practices, codes, and requirements as set forth by regulations and governing entities including, without limitation, Texas Education Agency, and Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA).
18. Demonstrates and maintains relevant and up-to-date working knowledge and understanding of requirements and standards relevant to the job function.
19. Monitors respective work activity for variances and anomalies.
20. Identifies and timely reports any known or suspected compliance issues to appropriate personnel.
21. Assists with audits and the preparation for audits, whether initiated internally or externally, as assigned.
22. Adheres to all other District wide policies and procedures including, but not limited to, human resources, safety, and emergency protocols.
General:
23. Demonstrates support towards the District's Shared Vision, Mission, and Promise 2 Purpose.
24. Assists department leadership in the compilation of miscellaneous confidential reports.
25. Attends departmental and organizational meetings, as required.
26. Participates in continuing education programs and related activities to maintain proficient understanding and working knowledge relevant to the job function and trade.

28. Performs assigned job duties and responsibilities in accordance with established performance expectations, as well as with District policies, procedures, protocols and standard practices.
29. Demonstrates proficient working knowledge and understanding in the proper usage and maintenance of tools, equipment, and materials necessary for carrying out all essential duties and responsibilities of the job function.
30. Demonstrates general basic working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, Google Shared applications to include Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Slides, as well as systems including, without limitation, Barcode, RFID, and Inventory Management within the context of the job function.
31. Maintains assigned work vehicle, tools, and equipment in clean, safe, and operable condition.
32. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
--High school diploma or equivalent GED
--Forklift operator certification
--One year of experience working in a same or similar capacity; or
--An equivalent combination of education and work experience
--Active, Valid, and In Good Standing Texas Driver's License
