Job Description
OAPSE transfer bid requests (internal applications) will be accepted until 2:00 pm on 5/15/2026
External applications will be accepted, if position is not filled internally, until the position is filled.
Position available due to the transfer of Connie Ortz.
Contract Hours: 5.75-hours per day, 9-month contract
Report Times: 8:25 am to 2:10 pm (report times are based on the building schedule and are subject to change)
Salary: $15.73 starting hourly rate with annual step increases in accordance with the OAPSE negotiated agreement.
Reports To: Building Principals
Evaluations: Performance evaluated annually in accordance with the OAPSE negotiated agreement
Duties and Responsibilities: (See the Building Administrators for specific details of assignment)
- Monitor student(s) individually, in small or large groups in a variety of circumstances relating to the school environment
- Maintain confidentiality
- Provide leadership by enforcing pupil behavior set forth by the building principal
- Have a basic understanding of school building operations
- Ensure that students are in a safe, secure environment at all times
- Employ a variety of strategies to manage student behavior and conflict
- Crossing Guard duties when required
- Operate office equipment
- All other duties consistent with the general job description as assigned by the Building Administrators, Superintendent, and/or designee
Requirements: (Documents must be on file before starting)
- Current favorable BCII (State) and FBI (Federal) background checks
- Valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit with ESEA endorsement
- Rapback Enrollment through the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce
- Ohio Auditor of State Fraud Reporting and Training
- Negative drug screen result
