Job Description
Job Summary
An Early Learning substitute provides essential classroom continuity by performing the duties of a Teacher or Assistant Teacher during the absence of regular staff. This role is responsible for maintaining the daily routine, implementing established activities, and ensuring a safe, productive learning environment for students.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day classroom responsibilities for students (Birth to Age 5) to ensure no disruption in learning or care.
- Exercise sound professional judgment to act in the best interests of student safety and well-being at all times while maintaining compliance with DCYF Childcare Licensing and Minnesota Department of Health standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by program supervisors or administrators to support the center's daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience providing age-appropriate care and education for children ages Birth to 5 years.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the flexibility to navigate the dynamic environment of a 4-star Parent Aware and NAEYC-accredited program.
- A commitment to confidentiality and inclusive, respectful community building.

Hours: Variable based on program needs and staff absences.
Compensation: $16.50 per hourOther Benefits
