Basic Function: This hands-on Business Analyst role provides tactical and operational support for upstream customer activities and serves as the primary execution resource reporting to the Business Systems Manager. The position is responsible for day-to-day ERP system maintenance, master data management, troubleshooting, and fast-moving task execution to ensure ERP system integrity and smooth business operations.
Essential Functions:
- Provide hands-on tactical support and execution for ERP initiatives, including analysis, configuration, testing, and deployment of system changes.
- Own day-to-day ERP system integrity, including master data maintenance, customer and dealer entries, setup/configuration, equipment registration, and related file processes.
- Deliver fast-moving tactical ERP coverage and support, acting as the primary execution resource for the Business Systems Manager.
- Perform customer classification, grouping, and segmentation activities.
- Prepare financial, sales, operational metrics, and reporting deliverables.
- Analyze sales, customer, and prospect data; identify trends and prepare regular reports
- Assist with special customer requests, and other department projects as needed.
- Collaborate with business teams (sales, operations, finance, supply chain) to gather requirements, resolve issues, and ensure data accuracy.
- Support ERP vendor coordination, testing activities, user training, and change management processes.
- Maintain process documentation, system configurations, and data governance standards as directed.
- Keeps supervisor informed of important developments, potential problems, and all related information necessary for effective management. Coordinates and communicates activities with others, where appropriate, to ensure a coordinated work effort and team approach.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Attends training as directed by GNE.
Qualifications and Experience:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience in a Business Analyst, ERP Support, or Systems Analyst role
- Strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or similar).
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Solid experience with customer master data, reporting, and metrics analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tactical priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
Preferred
- Direct experience with ERP configuration, master data management, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, customer/CRM platforms a plus.
- Experience in distribution, wholesale, manufacturing, or B2B industry.
- Previous experience supporting ERP projects or roadmaps
