Bilingual ESL Math Teacher (Control Code: 19365)

VACANCY: The Valley View Public School District is seeking an individual to fill a full-time Bilingual ESL Math teaching position for the 2026-2027 school year.
 
JOB SUMMARY: The teacher is responsible to the Building Principal for: planning instructional lessons that meet the needs, interests and abilities of students; creating a classroom environment that is conducive to learning; and employing effective instructional techniques.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

• Applicants must hold a State of Illinois (PEL) Professional Educator License with an endorsement in Mathematics and with a Bilingual/ESL Endorsements
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred
• Knowledgeable in ESL teaching methods, curriculum, materials and instructional assessments
• Previous teaching experience with Bilingual/ESL students
• Successful Middle School teaching experience (preferred)
• Demonstrated skill in diagnosing, prescribing, assessing student learning, and appropriate record keeping
• Knowledge of current teaching techniques
• Applicants must be able to structure a classroom to maximize student learning
• Willingness to participate in co-curricular program as sponsor, supervisor or coach
