Position Role Type:

  • Responsible for purchase and/or sourcing process RFQ and cost data for production and development Lavs within an agreed and defined strategy in support of cost, quality, and delivery targets.

  • Responsible in suppliers set up including necessary approvals in compliance to company standards.

  • Manage price books and cost variances. 

  • Support standard cost-roll activities.

  • Analyze demand and pricing to set appropriate order quantities and batch size.

  • Support Design activities and execute these plans.

  • Identify cost reduction opportunities and develop strategies to realize savings

  • Lead or support the implementation of cost reduction initiatives

  • Working with the potential suppliers and the program team, identify opportunities to reduce weight and cost, and address quality issue.

  • Ensure the suppliers are ‘rate ready’ to support production.

  • Manage effective communication with tactical counterpart.

  • Use knowledge and supplier dealings to input into commodity strategy.

  • Execute commodity strategy.

  • Able to manage special projects and work collaboratively with stake holders and counterparts from value streams

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • Uphold high ethical standard code of conduct in internal and external dealings.

  • A team player and having the ability to work collaboratively.

  • Performs other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

  • Adheres to participate in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and well-being of self and others.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Graduate of any Bachelor’s / College Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Studies/Administration/ Management or equivalent

  • Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Purchasing.

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, JDE, or similar platforms.

  • Ability to create consensus to ensure results from peers in cross-functional positions.

  • Commitment to continuous improvement and life-long learning.

  • Excellent time management and active communication skills.

  • Ability to manage conflict across multiple roles and teams.

  • Knowledge of inventory management processes and philosophies, including MRP & Just in Time (JIT).

  • Understanding of financial reports and expense control.

  • Proven ability to analyze data and successfully develop and execute project plans.

  • Experience developing and delivering communications and presentations to both customers, public groups, and internal organizations (i.e., top management, boards of directors).

  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with leadership (minimum – up to 2 levels up).

  • Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

  • Should not have received any disciplinary action for one year.

  • Should not be under a Performance Improvement Plan.

  • With at least a year in his/her current position.
