Who will you be working with?

Wabtec’s Digital Intelligence Signaling & Systems team is a recognized industry leader in the successful delivery of complex integrated system projects. These projects involve signaling, train control, communications, and back-office solutions with a strong focus on project execution, schedule adherence, and customer satisfaction

 
How will you make a difference? 

Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Electrical Supervisor will supervise an electrical team to carry out installation works as per design & specifications. The Electrical Supervisor works closely with engineers and other project staff to establish design criteria ensuring project goals are met

 

Where is the position located?

This is a FIFO position, working in the Pilbara region (Perth, Western Australia); 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off (Thursday - Wednesday) 

 

What will your typical day look like?

  • Promote and ensure the appropriate standards of health, safety and environmental management are adhered to;
  • Conduct on site Pre-Starts every morning prior to commencement of work to plan out the days installation activities;
  • Liaise with the safeworking personnel to coordinate the planned works;
  • Coordinate installation staff to complete the required installation works in the most efficient manner;
  • Report in the site diary at the end of each day summarizing the works performed and hours worked by all staff;
  • Identification and escalation of any issues identified to the Project/Construction Manager;
  • Completion of all required safety documentation
  • Plan & execute the Electrical scope of works related to Signalling and trackside electrical infrastructure to assigned projects, predominantely in remote locations
  • Lead the team of Electricians for individual Electrical installation & commissioning scope of works
  • Responsible for identifying any potential redline updates to Engineering drawings and follow the procedure for formal updates
  • Assist in the completion of the testing & commissioning works on direction from the Construction Manager
  • Provide technical support during commissioning activities and ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the integrity and reliability of signalling infrastructure.
  • Conduct punchlist activities during construction and prioritise required works with team

 

What do we want to know about you?

  • WA Electrical Licence - mandatory
  • Level 1 Track Safety Induction
  • Construction Card
  • Current Drivers Licence and willingness to travel to different work sites, including Remote WA as required.
  • Rail Industry Worker Card
  • Willingness or currently undertaking competency for Certificate IV in Rail Signalling (Electrical)
  • Proven experience working in the rail industry, preferably in signalling maintenance, installation and commissioning.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
