Job Purpose: A Business Development Manager is required to explore the asphalt market in the UAE where primary focus is to build a customer base, establish industry relationships, and secure contracts and plant setup and run the full business from company formation and plant commissioning to ongoing operations and growth. Work Location: United Arab Emirates Key Responsibilities: Research the UAE asphalt market, identify demand, key players, and opportunities. Build relationships with contractors, road construction companies, developers, and government project offices. Identify and pursue public and private sector tenders. Negotiate contracts and secure purchase commitments. Develop pricing strategies based on market conditions and competition. Provide regular market intelligence reports, feasibility insights, and recommendations. Build the company’s reputation and network in the UAE construction industry. Lead UAE business registration, trade licensing, and regulatory approvals. Secure a plant site, oversee installation and commissioning. Manage procurement of raw materials (bitumen, aggregates, fillers). Recruit and lead the local team (operators, drivers, sales, admin, HSE). Manage plant operations, quality control, logistics, and delivery. Manage budget, P L, and report to Head Office.
