JOB SUMMARY   Under the direction of the Corporate Senior Safety Manager, the Safety Specialist 2 provides advanced expertise in Health and Safety (HS) program management. This role is responsible for leading regulatory compliance initiatives company-wide and serving as a subject matter expert for safety and health operations. The Safety Specialist 2 must drive continuous improvement projects and represent the company in regulatory and industry forums. This role conducts a variety of safety activities, reporting, and data analysis in support of the company’s regulatory compliance obligations. It also assists in the management of site-specific regulatory permit programs and communicates with regulatory agencies.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS   Visit the company locations, field activities, and projects ensuring the correct implementation and monitoring compliance with tHS standards, policies, procedures, and other matters. Conduct HS audits/inspections of company locations, field activities, and projects. Ensure workers properly use PPE and other safety equipment. Support the delivery of HS training. Ensure correct reporting and incident investigation, help determine appropriate corrective actions or preventative measures and ensure measures are promptly and correctly implemented. Identify incident trends and design methodologies to reduce existing or potential incidents and health hazards in alignment with leadership. Monitor and ensure compliance with safety, legal and other requirements, relevant to each company location, field activity, and project. Contractor management - manage our contractor management system (Avetta) and assist internal and external stakeholders in using it. Support the company’s global health and safety standards, programs, policies, and procedures. Support monitoring of EHSS priorities, metrics, objectives, and requirements. Analyze regulatory changes, assess operational impacts, and recommend compliance strategies. Represent TWG in certain government and/or industry committees. Ensure timely completion of activities and tasks assigned through the company EHS Management System (Intelex). Ensure correct reporting and incident investigation, help determine appropriate corrective actions. Identify incident trends, regulatory or operational gaps, and work with management teams to develop and implement continuous improvement. Analyze, interpret, and understand laws and regulations enacted by State, Local, and Federal Agencies, its impact on company’s operations and provide recommendations to implement lawful and cost-effective compliance. Gather in-field data from multiple facilities and compile into one central location. Travel approximately 25- 50% of the time to various locations.   QUALIFICATIONS   Bachelor’s degree in health and safety or related field preferred. Candidates with extensive experience in lieu of a degree will be considered. 5+ years progressive experience in EHS roles. Demonstrated expertise in regulatory compliance, permitting, and program management. Professional certifications (CSST, CHSO, CHST, ASP) strongly preferred. Track record of driving continuous improvement and innovation. Consistently deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines. Must be able to read, fully comprehend, and timely, effectively, and efficiently implement aligned solutions to address requirements of laws, regulations, and technical documents. Skilled in effectively communicating in oral and written form with all internal and external individuals. Ability to effectively manage internal and external visitors, auditors, and regulators. Skilled in technical data analysis and report writing. Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail. Demonstrated reliability and punctuality, work effectively in team/crew environment, with full adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures. Ability to be highly organized and keep others organized and on track. Driver’s license in good standing . PHYSICAL DEMANDS   While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Working environment has exposure to both indoors and outdoors and related warehouse/production equipment and associated noise levels. Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks in the warehouse/production environment.   COMPENSATION   Hiring Salary Range Posted: $85,400 - $113,200.
