AliveCor is looking for a Director, Global Consumer Marketing to join our global marketing team. Working in partnership with AliveCor’s US headquarters, regional business leaders, global marketing department and key strategic partners, this position is a key focus area in AliveCor’s continued growth strategy across the international landscape.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Architect and execute the comprehensive international consumer marketing strategy to drive brand growth with strategy tailored to local environments
- Hold full P&L accountability for regional consumer segments, directly managing budgets to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Scale regional customer acquisition by designing and executing full-funnel digital and performance marketing campaigns (paid media, SEO/SEM, paid social, and marketing automation) optimized for a high-growth DTC medical device environment
- Lead complex, cross-functional localization strategies that go beyond simple translation; manage multi-language and multi-cultural execution across product mix, channel strategy, messaging, and creative assets to align with local healthcare systems, consumer trust factors, and regional regulatory compliance
- Drive international marketplace growth, with a primary focus on scaling, optimizing, and managing Amazon (EU) as a major consumer sales channel, ensuring optimal product visibility, review health, and buy-box ownership
- Establish robust forecasting and reporting mechanisms to provide clear visibility into consumer revenues across all regional environments
- Optimize consumer e-commerce platforms and direct-to-consumer (DTC) points of sale to maximize conversion and revenue
- Champion the local consumer retail presence, cultivating high-value partnerships while identifying and onboarding new retail partners
- Support the international distributor network, ensuring partners are equipped with the marketing support and resources necessary for consumer sales
- Develop, monitor, and refine international consumer pricing strategies to maximize market penetration and profitability
- Orchestrate international product launches and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle across diverse global markets
- Drive local PR and media initiatives in close collaboration with the global communications team and local B2B marketing counterparts
- Commission and leverage market research and customer insights to inform data-driven marketing decisions
- Oversee operational management—including logistics, inventory, and packaging—to seamlessly support consumer commercial effort
- Manage external agencies, vendors, and partners, ensuring their marketing deliverables align with brand standards and strategic goals
- Provide strong people leadership, mentoring and developing a high-performing, cross-functional marketing team
Qualifications & Skills:
- 10+ years of progressive marketing experience in high-impact leadership roles within the medical device, consumer health tech, or digital health sectors
- Deep understanding of international medical device regulatory frameworks, with direct experience navigating compliance environments such as EU MDR and ANVISA
- Proven track record of success marketing consumer medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or regulated healthcare products
- University degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field
- Possesses a deeply strategic mindset with strong financial acumen, including full P&L management, budgeting, and revenue forecasting
- Exceptional communicator and presenter, with a demonstrated ability to influence, align, and manage relationships at the C-suite and executive board levels
- Thrives in fast-paced, dynamic startup environments; a self-starter who embraces ambiguity and turns vision into execution
- Highly self-motivated with a tangible passion, drive, and commitment to elevating brand performance and patient/consumer outcomes
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally (approximately 10%-15%) to support regional teams, partners, and market initiatives
- Professional fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in additional European or LATAM languages is strongly preferred
