Job Description
The Project Manager is the key subject matter expert for scope, management & coordination of Reset-Revision and seasonal timelines. This role is responsible for collaborating with cross-functional and external partners to ensure on-time execution across all milestones to enable successful launch of events within a multi-million-dollar budget. Proactively uses strong problem-solving skills and mitigates risk in assisting the planning and execution of the 150+ Reset-Revision events on a yearly basis.
This position will assist in planning for annual category and seasonal events; responsible for assisting the Manager with the store labor hour budget, reporting and communicating regular updates to senior leadership. Assists in streamlining and developing tracking and reporting of various metrics to multiple levels of leadership. Project Manager is also responsible for the development, enhancement and adherence to project deliverables and timelines.
Additionally, the Project Manager will identify process improvement and efficiencies to better support cross functional partners; leverage learnings to develop improvement to Merchandising to optimize and standardize processes and procedures. They will also facilitate identified issues and mitigate conflicts; influence, negotiate, and resolve conflict to ensure buy-in and common goals.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages small to medium size projects under limited direction. May also lead sub-teams for larger projects/programs.
- Establishes and monitors project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
- Manages a project plan that involves a small number of team members.
- Ensures quality and timeliness of project results. Ensures established budget is adhered to base upon project requirements.
- Works with management (if necessary) to drive resolution of project conflicts.
- Manages projects from inception to completion.
- Manages activities of assigned project team.
- Prepares standard and ad hoc management reports and presentations for assigned projects.
- May contribute to larger projects.
- Communicates project status to team and business owners throughout the duration of the assignment and post implementation to make certain all impacted stakeholders have an understanding of risks, issues and activities.
