Residential Housekeeper
Department: Housekeeping
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Grand Rapids, MI
Reporting To: Jodie Bailey
Compensation: $17.51 - $19.64 / hour
Description
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week | Monday - Friday | 7am - 3:30pm | Rotating weekends | 1 holiday per year
Shift Premiums: Weekend (Fri 11:00 pm - Sun 10:59 pm) 0.50

What You’ll Do:
As a Residential Housekeeper, you play a vital role in creating a welcoming and vibrant community! You’ll work with our independent living residents, building real connections as you help maintain the comfort and cleanliness of their private apartments. Key Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors.
- Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and decorative items.
- Vacuum and mop floors, carpets, and rugs.
- Cleans residents’ rooms, recreational areas, offices, and hallways as assigned.
- Change bed linens and make beds according to established standards.
- Empty trash containers and dispose of waste in designated areas.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen surfaces, appliances, and utensils.
- Replenish supplies such as toiletries, towels, and cleaning products.
- Organize and maintain storage areas for cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Adhere to established cleaning schedules and procedures.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience as a housekeeper in a long-term care facility or medical environment.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must possess knowledge of the appropriate skills for communicating with individuals of all ages
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and carry up to 35 pounds
