About the Team:
You will join Invesco’s Distribution Engineering team; a collaborative group of technologists focused on building and supporting the platforms that power critical business capabilities across the organization. The team partners closely with business stakeholders, architects, and other engineering groups to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise solutions. About the Role:
As an Advanced Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and support enterprise applications and APIs in a modern, cloud-based environment. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, helping deliver reliable, secure, and high-quality solutions that meet business needs. This role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while owning deliverables end-to-end.
Responsibilities of the Role:
Design, develop, and enhance applications, APIs, and services using modern technologies
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, implementation, and support
Build, test, and maintain system components in alignment with established standards
Ensure adherence to coding, documentation, and quality standards
Collaborate with project managers to review timelines and communicate progress or risks
Support user acceptance testing and perform quality assurance on peer deliverables
Prepare and maintain documentation to enable ongoing system support
Communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders across various channels
Assist with estimating development efforts for projects and enhancements
Provide third-level support and participate in business continuity and recovery efforts
Requirements of the Role:
Minimum 3+ years of experience in application development
Strong proficiency in C# and .NET (Framework 4+ / .NET 6+)
Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs
Solid experience with SQL Server or other relational databases
Experience building N-tier applications, APIs, batch/console applications, and user interfaces
Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Knowledge of Stonebranch UAC or similar job schedulers is a plus
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum preferred)
Exposure to integrating with third-party/vendor systems
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience
