ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Water Resources Engineer to work in a project manager capacity out of our Charleston, WV office. Our engineers have the opportunity to design projects in cities and municipalities where their work makes a real and lasting impact.
 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluate existing service area utility assets and develop recommendations for rehabilitation or replacement
  • Support the design of water line and sanitary sewer line rehabilitation and replacement projects
  • Monitor construction phase performance and adherence to plans and specifications; assist with submittals, RFIs, correspondence, and change orders
  • Coordinate environmental studies, permitting, alternative analyses, and other technical deliverables
  • Identify future project opportunities and emerging client needs
  • Ensure clear project communication between team members and clients
  • Deliver formal presentations to clients, stakeholders, the public, and regulatory agencies
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and technical conferences for business development
  • Build and maintain client relationships through strong project delivery
  • Incorporate engineering considerations into water and wastewater system designs, including pump selection, valve sizing, and mechanical equipment layout
  • Support troubleshooting and performance evaluation of mechanical systems during construction and commissioning
 
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
Education: BS in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) certification highly desired; ability to obtain PE considered
Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience
Communication: Exceptional presentation and written communication skills
Leadership: Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage projects and guide teams
Work style: Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively
Travel: Periodic travel to project sites required
