Job Description
Responsibilities
● Work closely with subject matter experts to distill complex technical concepts and procedures into clear, actionable documentation.
● Write original, high quality online help materials (concept overviews, instructional materials, policies, technical feed specifications).
● Integrate feedback from a number of stakeholders and varying perspectives to create a cohesive, partner-focused end product.
● Apply Google-specific style and technical guidelines.
Minimum qualifications
● Demonstrated ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly.
● Ability to write in a range of styles and tones, from highly technical to more informal.
● Proven ability to maintain multiple assignments simultaneously, work independently, and drive projects to completion with minimum guidance and high attention to detail.
Preferred qualifications
● Graphic and creative sensibilities (e.g. ability to visualize content elements and work with creative team to execute).
● Experience with and/or writing about complex technology-based products for a technically-savvy audience - excellent quick study in technical concepts.
● Clear understanding of business needs and sensitivity to differences across various groups (functions, regions, etc).
● Persistence to iterate, refine and improve constantly.
