Job Description
South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC) is a form of technical collaboration among developing countries in the Global South. It is a tool used by states, international organizations, academia, civil society, and the private sector to share knowledge, skills, and successful initiatives. Since 2012, a bilateral SSTC has been in place between Indonesia, represented by the Ministry of Population and Family Development (BKKBN), and the Philippines, represented by the Commission on Population and Development (CPD). This cooperation, facilitated by their respective UNFPA Country Offices, aims to share and apply good practices in areas such as population, family planning, adolescent reproductive health, and gender mainstreaming. The specific focus area for this SSTC in the Philippines is the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), which was chosen due to its cultural and religious similarities to Indonesia.
