Adjunct Faculty Credit - Radiologic Technology Mammography
Job Description
The Radiologic Technology Program is seeking adjunct faculty to join the Radiologic Technology Department as a mammography instructor.
Essential Duties:
- Teach one didactic and one mammography courses during each the fall and spring semesters.
- Lead/participate in a six-week biweekly didactic course.
- Lead the clinical education portion of the mammography certificate program for 10 weeks.
- Possess a commitment to student engagement, student success, and instructional excellence.
- Maintain current knowledge of effective teaching methodologies and utilize a variety of instructional delivery methods, classroom media, and educational resources.
- Maintain expertise and certifications appropriate to teaching responsibilities.
- Grade and provide detailed feedback on all assignments within a timely manner.
- Actively respond to student emails and requests within 24 hours.
- Provide course syllabus (which shall include grading standards, attendance policies, classroom behavioral expectations, course outline and contact information)
- Verify student enrollment and submit grades
Education Requirements:
Education required:
- Registered ARRT (R)(M)
- Licensed in the state of Illinois (IEMA)
- Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience Requirements:
- At least 2 years of employment as a mammographer
- At least 1 year teaching mammography or related radiologic technology courses
