Job Description
A position is open for a dependable, competent and motivated postdoctoral fellow with experience in immunology, virology, and microbiology in the Division of Immunology at the Tulane National Primate Research Center (TNPRC). The overall research focus of the lab is to study pathogenesis and host immune determinants of protection and vaccine efficacy in the nonhuman primate model of HIV/SIV and cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. The postdoctoral candidate will conduct research projects focused on infectious diseases in pregnancy, maternal-fetal immunity, and immune determinants of protection against congenital infections in the nonhuman primate animal model. The candidate should be proficient in complex cellular immunology techniques, such as flow cytometry and ELISA/ELISPOT assays, tissue processing, cell, bacterial, viral and/or parasite culture, sterile technique, DNA/RNA extractions and PCR.
