Job Description

The Permit Technician is responsible for providing administrative and technical support for permitting, application processing, public hearing preparations and follow-up, compliant management and tracking, and general operations in the Office of Design’s Historic Preservation Studio in the Department of City Planning. The Permit Technician will support the Studio’s business operations, provide best in class customer service to both internal and external customers, and embrace, support, and promote the City’s core values, beliefs, and culture.

The Permit Technician will support the Studio’s successful implementation of: Atlanta City Design: the City of Atlanta’s Historic Preservation Program’s application processes, regulations and policies; the responsibilities of the Atlanta Urban Design Commission, the Future Places Project, and the initiatives of the Office of Design and Department of City Planning.
