REPORTS TO: Director of Accounting
Salary Range: $60,000 - $62,000

SUMMARY
The Accounting Clerk will provide support to our dynamic finance department here at Westhab, Inc. and support our team in delivering on our mission of Building Communities. Changing Lives. This position will support the accounts receivable and general accounting function. The ideal candidate must have meticulous attention to detail, be a quick learner, be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, must work well independently as well as on a team, and must be dependable.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Accounts receivable responsibilities:
- Daily bank deposits using a scanner and maintenance of deposit records.
- Cash application to tenant rent accounts and corporate accounts
- Assist with processing tenant rent adjustments
- Support Accounts Receivable Associate with filing, copying and other file maintenance activities
- Support Grant Accountant in administration of security deposit accounts and tenant write-offs
General accounting responsibilities:
- Assist with bank reconciliation preparation and scanning
- Data entry of voucher information to grant database
- Scan and copy invoices for accountants as requested
- Pull documents and reports for Audit requests
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Associate’s degree preferred in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management. 1-2 years’ work experience preferably in an office setting. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Proficient with Office including Excel and Word.
