Summary of Primary Functions:
The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for identifying and targeting active or passive candidates that could meet the organization's current and future talent needs, focusing on individual contributor positions and supporting other positions as needed. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will provide best-in-class candidate experience through sourcing, screening, and interview coordination.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. (Other duties may be assigned)
- Act as a trusted advisor to hiring managers, defining role requirements and hiring strategy while providing data-driven market insights, compensation guidance, and interview best practices.
- Assist in the development of position profiles that are thorough and attractive to potential candidates
- Identifies and targets active or passive candidates that could meet the organization's current and future talent needs.
- Review and screen resumes obtained from all sources and manage all applicant tracking and status updates in the HRIS.
- Conduct phone screens, provide candidate assessments, and recommend viable candidates to hiring managers for further consideration.
- Oversees candidate screening & scheduling of in-person interviews.
- Manage candidate communications and information to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the Talent Acquisition process.
- Coach and mentor Hiring Managers on talent acquisition processes and system compliance.
- Consults with managers to make hiring recommendations.
- Verifies background checks and pre-hire drug screenings are completed and adhere to company policy.
- Submits requests for approval of offer letters and provides any necessary information to support the request for approval.

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Proven ability to source and engage passive candidates across various platforms.
- Experience successfully building and maintaining trusting and consultative relationships with internal stakeholders and candidates.
- Recruiting experience, 2 years of experience required; experience at a mid-sized, multi-site organization preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree (4-year) in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured by company's auto-insurance policies.

Work Environment:

- Stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to work on-site, full-time
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds unassisted at times
- Overnight travel required 10% of the time
