Job Description


Objective of the Position: Maintain a healthy and profitable relationship with assigned customers by managing all aspects of the account. Experience with Ford or Stellantis are a plus.

 

Essential Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

  • Assemble, verify and proof all internal/external advice to management regarding commercial events
  • Develop and maintain relationship with customers 
  • Develop business proposals 
  • Manage and control all scheduled commercial events 
  • Manage outstanding account issues including non-payment, amortization agreements and monolith reconciliations 
  • Manage pricing, quoting, negotiation and contracts 
  • Maximize opportunity for profitability enhancement 
  • Meet internally with engineering, prototype, purchasing, quality and accounting department to accurately summarize costs
  • Negotiate and determine price agreements 
  • Prepare, attend and present to customers in scheduled meetings.
  • Quarterly and/or necessary price changes for production and aftermarket items 
  • Set goals, agendas and timing for all customer visits 
  • Strategize and forecast current and future sales 

 

Secondary Accountabilities: The position incumbent ensures, that

  • Conduct all business related activities for, and on the behalf of, Eberspaecher within the limits of applicable local, state, and federal legal requirements.
  • Provide support to, and compliance with, all local and corporate Eberspaecher Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures and other HSE related requirements.
  • Quality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and follows all ENA polices related to TS16949 and ISO 14001; looks for way to improve and promote quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirement Profile:

Professional Background / Basic Qualification / Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s (B.A.) in business related field. MBA preferred. 
  • Minimum five – seven years’ experience in customer service role. Minimum five years’ experience in automotive industry.
  • Ability to travel domestically.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in Microsoft Office. 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be proficient in SAP.

 

Technical Expertise:

  • Ability to Negotiate and determine price agreements 
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections. 
  • Ability to apply mathematical concepts and operations, including calculations, percentages, etc. 
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, and write simple correspondence.
  • Analytical- Synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data; Designs work flows and procedures.
  • Business Acumen- Understands business implications of decisions.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement of products for manufacturability.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations. 
  • Project Management- Develops project plans; Coordinates projects; Communicates changes and progress; Completes projects on time and budget; Manages project team activities.
  • Strives to continuously improve expertise, knowledge and skills.
