Position Overview

The Senior Director, Real Estate Development & Strategy is responsible for overseeing The Children’s Village’s real estate portfolio, managing active development projects, and identifying and advancing new housing opportunities. This role leads all phases of development, including project planning, financing, design, approvals, and closing, while ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and financial objectives.

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in real estate, finance, urban planning, or related field preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience in real estate development, with a focus on affordable housing. Experience managing projects in New York City strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience with LIHTC, tax-exempt bonds, and public subsidy programs. Strong financial modeling, negotiation, and project management skills. Strategic thinking and planning. Financial and analytical acumen. Project management and execution. Relationship management and negotiation. Strong communication skills.
