Job Description
As a Security Officer Patrol Driver Trainee in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a leading aerospace and defense location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, production areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for security-related concerns.
- Monitor access activity by verifying credentials, following visitor processing procedures, and reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or restricted area concerns.
- Support daily operations by preparing clear incident reports, relaying important information during shift changes, and assisting with site-specific security-related assignments as directed.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
