About the Role:
As a Post-Doctoral Fellow in Psychology at Neuropsych Wellness Center, you will play a critical role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health conditions to improve the psychological well-being of individuals. Your work will involve conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to understand clients' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral functioning. You will develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs, collaborating with other healthcare professionals when necessary. This role requires a compassionate and ethical approach to support clients through various life challenges, promoting resilience and mental health recovery. Ultimately, your contributions will enhance the quality of life for clients by fostering mental wellness and facilitating positive behavioral change.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated experience in conducting psychological assessments.
- Strong knowledge of psychological theories, diagnostic criteria (DSM-5), and evidence-based treatment modalities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in healthcare or social assistance settings.
- Specialized training or certification in areas such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, neuropsychology, or child psychology.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Research experience or contributions to peer-reviewed publications.
- Bilingual abilities or experience working with diverse populations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed psychological assessments using standardized tools to evaluate cognitive, emotional, and behavioral conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and clinical best practices.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
- Stay current with advancements in psychological research and integrate new knowledge into clinical practice.
