Occupational Therapist - OT

• Department: Occupational Therapy - Acute Care Rehabilitation Unit
• Schedule: Per Diem (as needed) days 7:00 am to 3:30 pm

• Practice at the Top of Your License: Evaluate and treat high-acuity patients in a fast-paced setting, focusing on early mobilization and critical decision-making for complex medical and surgical cases.
• Drive Discharge Excellence: Play a pivotal role in the care continuum by determining the safest next steps for patients, collaborating directly with physicians and case managers to reduce readmissions.
• Experience Clinical Variety: Rotate through diverse units—including the ICU, Step-down, and Med-Surg—utilizing advanced equipment to help patients regain independence during the most critical phase of their recovery.

Provides medically prescribed consultative and therapeutic services within scope of practice in order to restore function and prevent disability for clients or patients with musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and cardiopulmonary disorders. Performs responsibilities in accordance with department and Hospital Policies, state, federal and regulatory requirements: Title 22 Section 70517, 70519. Functions according to professional practice as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

 

1. Bachelor or Master Degree in Occupational Therapy.

2. Current state Occupational Therapy certification/license.

3. Current BCLS (AHA) certificate.

4. National Board for Certification Occupational Therapy certification, AOTA and OTAC preferred.

Resurrection Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is a flat rate of $45.35 The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
