The Outreach & Admissions Manager position provides instructional support for a U.S Department of Labor Job Corps contractor, Human Learning Systems. The Job Corps program is a federally funded residential training program. Job Corps’ mission is to educate and train youth ages 16-24 for successful careers in the nation’s fastest-growing industries. 


Summary of Duties:

The Outreach & Admissions Manager is responsible for training, supervising, and directing outcomes for the Outreach & Admissions and Career Transition Services Departments.

Significant Responsibilities: 

  • Oversees staff members assigned to this department.
  • Ensures staff members have adequate training to complete key areas of responsibility.
  • Ensures that the OA and CTS contracts exceed goals.
  • Promotes positive Job Corps image and awareness in the community.
  • Develops referral services.
  • Recruits eligible youth to the program.
  • Performs responsibility for placement and transitional services: Ensures that 100% of graduates and former enrollee placement and transitional services are being provided.
  • Ensures timely placement of assignees.
  • Performs data entry, data verification, and reconciliation in all areas of student accountability
  • Has a working knowledge of data transfer from one document to another with an emphasis on detail and error recognition.
  • Audits systems. Maintains database with current and correct information indicating student enrollment status.
  • Audits accountability reports daily to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Administers students' clothing allowance plan.
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time.

 

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree and four years of relevant experience. Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
  • As a Federal Contractor, while North Dakota law may allow individuals to consume marijuana if they have a qualifying medical condition, marijuana is still illegal under federal law. A positive drug screen with a medical marijuana card will result in an offer not being made.
