What you’ll do Assist Service Technicians and Master Technicians with maintenance, inspections, servicing, and breakdown support on autonomous drill rigs. Support routine and planned maintenance activities in accordance with OEM standards, service agreement scope, and site procedures. Assist with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and basic control-system related tasks under supervision. Perform daily equipment inspections, checklists, lubrication, and housekeeping activities to ensure fleet readiness. Support workshop activities, tool control, and preparation of equipment for maintenance tasks, while assisting with physical inspections, sensor cleaning, and cable management to maintain autonomous system uptime. Support technicians during commissioning, testing, and optimisation of autonomous drilling systems, adhering to strict access, lock-out, and system safety protocols. Strictly comply with Epiroc Life Saving Rules, and mine site procedures, while maintaining high standards of housekeeping, workplace organisation, and pit compliance. What you’ll bring Grade 12 (Essential). Basic mechanical or technical exposure in a mining or industrial environment. Previous experience in a mining, heavy equipment, or maintenance support role (advantageous). Exposure to drill rigs or mobile mining equipment (advantageous). Who you are Ability to use tools, follow procedures, and work accurately under supervision. Strong safety ‑ first mindset and discipline in high ‑ risk environments. Willingness to learn, take instruction, and develop technical capability. Reliable, punctual, and accountable in a production ‑ critical site role.
