What You Should Know About the Hospice House Unit Coordinator Role:
- This is a Part Time position, 2-12hr shifts per week with NO WEEKENDS. Shifts are Monday, 8am-8:30pm at Dayton IPU/Friday, 7am-7:30pm at Middletown IPU

Hospice House Unit Coordinator Job Summary:
- Ohio’s Hospice patients will receive quality health information communication during their stay in the Hospice House. The Unit Coordinator is responsible for Hospice House communications between staff and patients, and facilitation of the admission and transfer process for patients entering and leaving the Hospice House and maintaining medical records. The Unit Coordinator is committed to the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the hospice concept of care
Qualifications:
- One year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience; including medical terminology preferred w/prior experience in a health care setting
- Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care.
- Detail orientated
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos• Ability to present information to customers, clients, and other staff of the organization
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide by 10’s and 100’s
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry our detailed written or oral instructions
• Able to deal with problems involving varied standardized situations - Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime, or inclement weather if needed
- Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record
