Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and respond to all employee leave requests, including FMLA, ADA, PWFA, and other supported leaves.
- Assist employees with inquiries regarding leave and benefits, escalating complex issues to the Benefits Manager as needed.
- Collaborate with the Occupational Health Nurse to manage Workers Compensation reporting and responses.
- Handle benefits-related service tickets, mailbox questions, and billing for gyms, EAP, and ancillary benefits programs.
- Review PTO exchange transactions and partner with Payroll and the Total Rewards Director for approvals.
- Prepare reports and analyze attendance for gym memberships while addressing enrollment questions.
- Present benefits information during New Employee Orientation alongside the Benefits Manager to ensure employees are well-informed.
- Review health insurance plan invoices and route FMLA/ADA leave cases to vendors for approval.
- Assist with plan coverage inquiries, including generic ID cards and escalating vendor-related issues when necessary.
- Provide additional support for HR operations and employee satisfaction through various tasks as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or 10 years of relevant work experience
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in coordinating benefit plans
- Prior experience responding to employee inquires on leave, benefits, and benefit plans
- Experience with Service Now and responding to employee tickets
- Experience with self-insured benefit plans
- Strong communication skills in order to clearly communicate information regarding benefits to employees both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to demonstrate integrity and provide excellent customer service and professionalism to our employees and to the vendors
- Ability to organize projects, meet deadlines and handle multiple demands, all while paying strong attention to detail
- Computer literacy required, including advanced to intermediate knowledge of Excel, Windows Office and Outlook
- Must be knowledgeable with all applicable state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to benefits
- Must be able to manage multiple deadline and decision making responsibilities
