Job Details

We are looking for a Lead Cat Scan Technologist to join our team!

 

Operates CT equipment as directed by Physicians utilizing routine protocols and procedures according to established standards.

 

Responsibilities

 

Leadership & Supervision:

  • Lead the CT technologists team, providing guidance and leadership.
  • Lead workflow and staffing to ensure efficiency and proper patient care.
  • Mentor and train new or junior technologists.

 

Quality Control:

  • Ensure that imaging protocols are followed and quality standards are met.
  • Review and assess the quality of images produced, troubleshooting and redoing scans when necessary.
  • Lead efforts for continuous improvement in imaging techniques.

 

Scheduling & Resource Management:

  • Lead scheduling of CT exams and ensure optimal use of equipment.
  • Coordinate with physicians and departments for urgent or specialized procedures.

 

Inventory & Maintenance:

 

  • Ensure that necessary supplies (e.g., contrast materials, patient prep items) are in stock and available.
  • Work with technical staff to oversee machine maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal downtime.

 

Patient Care & Consultation:

 

  • Handle more complex patient cases, including those requiring special preparation or attention.
  • Serve as a point of escalation for difficult or urgent cases, providing additional assistance as needed.

 

Administrative Duties:

 

  • Assist in the development and enforce departmental protocols and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with management for staffing needs, training programs, and policy updates.

 

 

Experience/Education/Training:

  • NYSDOH Licensed; ARRT & BLS Certification Required ( American Heart Association)
  • 2 years of CT experience required

Education:

  • Education: Graduate of approved Radiologic Technology program, Associates degree required, Bachelors preferred.

     

    Experience: Previous experience in CT required

 

Posted Salary Range

USD $64.21 - USD $64.21 /Hr.

This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
