Carolina Ranch Animal Hospital & Resort is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team at our state-of-the-art veterinary hospital and luxury pet resort. Schedule

Flexible scheduling available with morning or evening weekday shifts
Includes every other weekend and holiday rotation

What You’ll Do

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments
• Support appointments, obtain patient histories, and educate clients
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical procedures
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and laboratory testing
• Handle and restrain patients safely and compassionately
• Maintain treatment areas and support daily hospital workflow

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of veterinary assistant experience required
• Strong knowledge of vaccine protocols, heartworm prevention, and flea/tick prevention
• Experience with venipuncture, catheter placement, and lab equipment
• Skilled in anesthetic monitoring and intubation
• Excellent communication, organization, and computer skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
